Promoting Yourself

You have your Portfolio? Your Showreel? Ready to work?

Key Tips

1) On AIR, log in and edit your entry every couple of months. This will push it back to the top of the lists.
Do the same on any other sites you are listed on. (most don't default to "recently updated" but will have a sort option that allows people to request that).

2) On AIR, become a Friend of AIR. Cheap and very effective promotion.

3) Build up a database of producer/photographer contacts and email them every couple of months. Reminds them you exist, and are keen.

4) If you have a good agent who gets you work, LET THEM DO IT for as long as they bring you business. If you both hit up the same people, it just creates confusion.

Industry Trade Shows

Not usually something models need to bother with, but can be very good for making contacts, esp if you are potentially of international quality. Best approach, time a holiday to the place and enjoy the networking.
