New Models Basics

These are my guidelines for new models:-

RULE 1 -DO NOT work at higher levels than you enjoy just for the money. You'll regret it, and no amount of money will have been worth it.

Having got that out of the way...

Do you want to be a famous model/actress etc?

If so, limit yourself to Art Nude, and soft/arty Fetish/BDSM.

For those who want to do harder levels - Are you a natural exhibitionist?

I normally phrase this (for those who say they want to do porn) as "firstly,is the idea of having sex with strangers, while other people watch and film, so that even more people can get off watching you fucking, a turn on? and secondly, would you be Ok with friends and family knowing about it?"

If yes to both, then you are right for hardcore work, if you want to do it.

If no (to either) then don't do hardcore, but limit yourself to where you are comfortable.

Take Yourself Seriously

Decide what your limits are. If you are up for hardcore work, DO NOT offer anal from the start. Let people pay you for lower levels then book you again at higher ones.

In no particular order, but BEFORE you start running around seeking work.

*I am happy to put you forward to the couple of good agents, if you meet their general requirements of dress size 8-10, pos 12, age 18-25 and cute to stunning, or, if older, be very striking. Contact me. MILFs, BBW, girels next door etc - you need to do your own promotion.

Be realistic about travel

Advice for Photographers

Some photographers and producers complain that models ignore their emails.

This might be because the model is a timewaster, or has retired, but is often down to you.

Put yourself in the model's position - every day they get emails from idiot timewasters who get off on fantasising about meeting a model, but will never follow through. They soon learn to ignore any emails that might come from such people.

Agencies - Good and Bad

Agencies

There are a very few genuine agencies in the adult end of this business.

I can put you in touch with the genuine ones in the UK, USA (LA only), Czech Republic and Hungary.

Rule 1 - Pay No Money

Real agencies make their money on commission. Not by charging you fees to join.

Scams will always try to part you from your money. Do not pay to join an agency.

Real agencies will expect you to have a good portfolio, and may want to charge you for one if you lack good pictures. However in the UK the agencies I know WILL NOT charge. They will invite you over and take them themselves.

Males

I am not aware of any agencies that actively recruit new guys to the industry. They tend to look after guys who have managed to get their first few shoots, and even then they only like gym fit types (because that's what their clients - pro production companies - want).

AIR can get you work

Want Work? AIR can help

We can contact ALL our photographer/producer members - about 700 people, and this will produce work for you. From our experience, most girls should pull in several shoots and make between £1000 and £2000 quite quickly.

All About IDs and Model Releases

The following notes might help you avoid problems. It mainly applies to the UK, but no doubt will be more generally useful.

Age

Model Release

ID Requirements

STD Certificates (often just called certs)

Health & Safety

Stay Safe

Going to a shoot can be a risky thing - meeting someone you don't know, possibly alone.

Trust your gut instinct

If it's telling you not to take the job, DON'T.
If you've arrived somewhere and you are getting dodgy vibes, leave. Put it down to experience.

Have a Car

If you have driven to the location you can leave whenever you like. If you got collected from a station and are now in some soulless suburb,or, worse still, the countryside, you can't.

Have escape money

If you've got 100 quid in cash you can get home.

Chaperones

All good photographers/producers will allow a chaperone, and while asking them to stay out of the room/studio they will be within earshot.

Locations

Professional Studios are obviously much safer than hotels and houses.
If you work from home, think about rigging up a security camera to monitor the room(s) you shoot in.

Safety in Spanking/CP and hard BDSM/Fetish

If this isn't a scene you are personally into, but will consider for shoots, be warned.

I know too many models who have said yes to this type of work, and then been hurt/bruised much more badly than they expected. The work can pay very well, but if you do get bruised, you need to take time off.

My advice is to ask the following questions:-

GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.

If you feel that a photographer/producer has mislead you, please let me know as if several models flag the same person, I can delete them from this site.

If someone goes beyond the agreed terms - i.e. does things to which you have not consented, they are guilty of the criminal offence of assault (possibly worse). This is something which you can go to the police with. More to the point, you can tell the guy that if he doesn't back off, you will do so.

HIV, STDs and Certificates

For anything involving unprotected sex, there are risks.

Professionals doing hardcore get HIV/STD Certificates - showing that they are clean.

Certs cover:-

Certs are generally considered valid for 30 days (1 month) from DATE OF TEST. (NHS certs can take a week+ to arrive, so if using the NHS, get tested every three weeks.

Places to get tested. This is not a full list, if you know other places, just add them in a comment. NHS hospitals make their own rules, and while they will all TEST for free, most do not supply certs, or they charge for them, and some I have been told charge £100+. Porn modeling is not something most hospitals want to encourage by handing out certs easily.

Talking Point - The HPV vaccine (Gardasil)

Bullet notes provided by a Sexual Health Doctor, summary my own.

Summary - for adult models - probably a waste of money, (that 50% of American girls includes all the abstaining Christians, and loved up 1-2 partners only in entire life types. For people with a more active sex life, the chances of having had an infection are much higher).

  • *Used in the research and only done in the specialist reseach labs as part of that research. No commercial test available.
  • **Can clear in as little as six weeks. A good thing but it means that in practice the swab test doesn't help you decide if the vaccine is worth buying.
  • How I started - and I'm a guy

    How I started - I'm a guy

Step 1 - I booked a model and her partner filmed and photographed me with her. (This cost money, but I figured you have to invest in yourself or no one else will).

Step 2 - I sent that to producers and got nowhere. Several said "find a new girl and we'll use you with her".

Step 3 - I talked to girls - "do you want to get into porn?" and, some slaps later, I met Emma, and she was interested.

We did a shoot for a producer. He liked what I did, booked me for some more with different girls and that helped me get work with other producers.

    The rest is history.

If you want to do Step 1 (which does work for some people - though the odds are still long) - I can help. If you find a new girl, ditto.

PS NO ONE wants to give you a chance. Loads of guys want this, but producers know that most can't do it (for all their talk) so why would they risk the costs of a shoot on you? You can forget about BG shared content as well.

    Levels and terms explained

    Main Levels and Terms

    Male Models - Site Rules

Males - How to have a listing here

If you don't follow the rules, your listing will be DELETED.

    Fee

£150 for a listing. (This waived at my discretion for established males - which means that I know you personally OR you can get people I know to vouch for you. ).

    General

Guys who put up a couple of crappy pics, get deleted. Guys who are "just starting out" and haven't got their act together to get decent pics, get deleted. Barriers to entry in porn aren't high, but they do require that you get some decent pics.

Decent pics - main pic must show face but not erection. Other pics should amount to a decent portfolio - inc. nudes - and may show erections and be hardcore.

Your local college is full of photography/art students who can do decent starter pics, usually for free or their own portfolio.

Or I can sort you out - including hardcore BG, but you'll be looking at UKP300 if you slot into an event, or £800 if I arrange something special, (half in advance, balance on the day).

    Process

Set up your entry with decent portfiolio of images. You can then pay me, either direct to my bank account or via epassporte. Sorted via email.

If you create an entry and it gets deleted, usually it's down to unacceptable pics.

Why we are so hard on New Guys

Every week I get emails from guys saying "I know you must get a lot of this....but I AM SERIOUS". In all my time, maybe 3-4 have actually been serious.

It costs producers money to give a new guy "a go". If a new guy lets them down they are out the models fees, location costs, crew costs and their own time. Hundreds of pounds, maybe over a grand.

I have been on so many shoots where the New Guy - "I can do it, I can do it, I can get hard and fuck on camera" - either canceled at short notice with a lame excuse, simply didn't turn up, or turned up and ran away, or turned up and couldn't get hard, or went from soft to cum in under 2 mins.

If you are serious about porn you need to prove you can do it. Like any business or profession you need to invest in order to stand out from the crowd. That means proving you can perform under production conditions.

The best way is to find a girl who wants to be a porn star, and initially only works with her partner (you). I WILL help couples. I will often PAY YOU.

The second best way is to ask me to fix up a hardcore portfolio and showreel shoot with a known model. Model, location, cameraman etc. Pencil in 800 for what will be one of the most memorable days of your life.

    Portfolios

Your Portfolio is your key to work as a model.

    You need a good one.

I can help you out if you need it. (I have a few photographers who will shoot them, free of charge, when I ask. I am NOT a photographer myself).

    Types of Photo

    Rates

Rates - a very thorny question

Some clients will want a "per hour" quote. Others ask for a quote for a "job" or "session".

Work too cheap and you won't make money. Ask too much and you won't get work...

    My advice is as follows:-

Serious professional clients will tell you, in their enquiry:-

They will make it clear if there are any uncertainties. E.g. "A three hour Art Nude and light Fetish shoot, hopefully next week, and in a Manchester Studio. £250, plus £30 for travel. Start around 2pm, but can be flexible to avoid high cost rail tickets if you will be travelling by train".

If the enquiry is NOT clear, respond by asking specific questions to fill in the blanks. This gets rid of most timewasters.

As an extra, add in any specifics you care to offer. E.g. "My rate for this work is £60 an hour, minimum booking 2 hours, 3 outside London, and ALL my travel costs must be paid.

    Example Rates

It really is very hard to give hard numbers, esp at the softer rates. For softer rates some semi pro girls in cheaper parts of the UK will do fetish for £30 an hour at their house, while a high quality full time London model might charge £80, discounting only for bookings of 4 hours or more...

It really depends on your look and ability as a model. Also the ability of the photographer. Photographers who are good, will pay for good models, because good models can deliver the images they want to capture.

If you quote and don't get work, maybe you are asking too much. But if you are getting work, don't let cheapskates force you down.

    Hardcore

The lowest acceptable rate for most models is "approx 1- 2 hours mainly solo with HJ/BJ" in which many amateurs and semi professionals offer around £200. Some models treat this as bread and butter work, esp if they can work from home. Others avoid it, or insist on it being local to them.

    Smallscale and fast working productions

Serious amateur style and smaller scale producers usually offer £250ish for full sex with penetration, and that will usually involve whatever can be filmed in 2-3 hours. (Typically two BG scenes and some solo). This applies to all models, regardless of age, looks etc. The producers at this level tend not to be fussy, and are just seeking girls to fill quota. If they want YOU they will usually offer £300-£350.

    High Production Value productions

If you are "pornstar" material though, you will be wanting to very quickly step up to the bigger companies, with more money to spend, and, importantly, too many other overheads to risk wasting money with a "no show" who got a better offer. Expect £300 - £350 a scene plus travel for simple BG hardcore work for a major production company*.

Normally you'd do one scene in any single day, but you will be on set all day. Scenes should take 2-3 hours, but due to shooting issues you can be there all day. Take a book. Anal and DP may get you extra money, but not always.

If you are asked for more than one scene, you should be on a day rate of around £450-£500 for GG/BG, more if anal/DP.

*Sometimes companies will offer more, esp when they are busy and need girls.

Contracts - from time to time companies want to contract girls. These deals are very much per girl and while they can be very good, they are not always as good as they seem. For example £3000pm was offered to a model and I told her to turn it down. This was because she lived up North - child, family, couldn't leave -, all the shoots were in Kent. Her travel was her cost, as would be hotels if she needed to use them, which she would because of the trains etc. Result was that she would have spent more than half on travel/hotels. £3000 would have been great if London/Kent based, but in her case, not.

DO NOT CONTRACT to any company unless they guarantee you, in writing, to pay you every month (or week if you don't trust them much), an agreed minimum sum, WHETHER OR NOT YOU WORK.

    Showreels

    Showreels

These are a really good way of promoting yourself, esp for video work.

A typical showreel is 2-3 mins, not longer. We include them for free.

If you don't have one, but have bits of footage as WMV files

If you don't have anything, we can shoot and edit it for you
